A Flyer ONE or ONE Plus that has had a few seasons of use is still a capable board. The parts that stop it working are almost always the same handful of items, and most of them are replaceable without touching the hull.
This is a guide for owners rather than buyers. It covers what actually wears, what fits which board, and where to be careful about compatibility, because the ONE and the ONE Plus are not interchangeable in every part.
The compatibility split to get right first
Before you order anything, establish which board you have. Flyer ONE and Flyer ONE Plus share a family name and not every part.
| Part | Flyer ONE | Flyer ONE Plus |
|---|---|---|
| Controller | Flyer One Controller | Flyer One Plus Controller |
| Propeller kit | 140-Glide Folding Propeller Kit | ONE Plus 120-Propeller Kit |
| Wings | Flyer One Wings, set covering the common fitments | |
Ordering by family name rather than by exact model is the most common mistake, and a remote that does not pair is not a fault, it is the wrong part. If you are not certain which board you own, the model is on the board and the team can confirm from a photo before you order.

The parts that actually wear
The propeller. The most replaced part on any eFoil, and usually not because it fails. It gets damaged. Sand on a beach start, a submerged object, a hard landing on a shallow bottom. A chipped or bent propeller costs you efficiency and run time long before it stops working, so it is worth checking rather than waiting for it to fail outright. Replacements: the 120-propeller kit and the 140-glide folding kit.
The remote. These live a hard life. Salt water, being dropped on hard surfaces, and batteries that age. A remote that pairs intermittently is usually near the end rather than faulty in a repairable way. Both the ONE and ONE Plus controllers are stocked separately.
Wings and mast hardware. Not wear items in normal use, but they take the impact when something goes wrong. Waydoo Europe lists Flyer One Wings in a set covering the common fitments.
Screws and small hardware. Unglamorous and the most common reason a board sits unused. Stainless hardware in salt water seizes if it is never touched. Loosening, cleaning and re-greasing screws periodically is the maintenance habit that costs least on this list.
The battery. Not a part you replace casually, and the one where age shows as reduced run time rather than failure. Our battery care guide covers the habits that extend it. Treat any physical damage or swelling as a stop, covered below.
The spare kit route
If you want one order rather than several, waydoo.tech lists a Spare Kit bundling a remote, propeller, charging cable and screw kit. For an owner who wants the board reliable for a season without diagnosing each part separately, that is usually the efficient purchase.
Individual parts remain available separately in accessories. Prices sit in the low hundreds of euros for most items at the time of writing, with wings spanning a wider range depending on the set.
What is worth replacing and what is not
Blunt version, because at some point the arithmetic changes.
Worth replacing: propellers, remotes, screws and small hardware, cables. These are modest costs against a working board, and each one returns the board to full function.
Think harder about: a battery well past its useful life on a board you ride rarely, or a wing set that costs a meaningful fraction of what the board is now worth. At that point the question is not whether the part is worth it, but whether the board is the one you want for the next few seasons.
We are not going to tell you the answer is always a new board. Plenty of ONE and ONE Plus boards are worth keeping running, and modular parts are exactly why. But if you are replacing several major components at once, our Flyer ONE and Flyer EVO comparison sets out what has actually changed, including the case for keeping what you have. Our piece on how long an eFoil lasts covers the running-cost side.
Battery safety, the one hard stop
If a battery is swollen, hot, smoking, leaking, has been dropped, or has been wet inside, stop using it and stop charging it immediately. Do not test it. File a claim at support.waydootech.com/Claim and speak to a person.
For anything that might be a warranty matter, file the claim even if you are unsure whether it is covered. Submitting speeds up processing, and nobody at Waydoo Europe will decide a warranty outcome over email in advance of that.
Ordering from Europe
Parts ship from the European warehouse, processing in one to three business days with European delivery estimated at three to ten business days. Ordering from within Europe also means the standard 30-day return window applies, plus the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for EU customers. Parts that have been fitted and used in water are not returnable, so confirming fitment before ordering matters. If you would rather have someone check the board over, find your nearest dealer.
