Most eFoils cruise comfortably at 20 to 30 km/h, and top speeds for current models sit between roughly 35 and 55 km/h depending on the board, wing and rider. In the Waydoo range, the Flyer EVO Lite reaches around 35 km/h, the Max Plus 45 km/h, and the Pro Plus and Master up to 52 km/h. Here is what those numbers mean in practice, and what actually decides how fast you go on the day.
Cruising speed vs top speed
The headline number on a spec sheet is a maximum, recorded in flat water with an experienced rider and a speed-oriented setup. Day to day, almost nobody rides there. Independent eFoil publications put relaxed cruising at around 20 to 30 km/h, and Fliteboard's own guide states that most eFoils reach 32 to 48 km/h flat out, with its founder quoting up to 50 km/h for their fastest setups under controlled conditions. Above the mid-40s, wind chop, wing choice and nerve become the limiting factors well before the motor does.
That is worth knowing as a buyer: an eFoil that tops out at 45 km/h and one that tops out at 52 km/h feel identical at a 25 km/h cruise. You are choosing headroom, not everyday speed.

The pattern is simple: the 6000W motor sets the ceiling, and board volume decides how much of that ceiling you can comfortably use. The Pro Plus and Master share the same 52 km/h figure, but the Master's 75L carbon build is aimed at riders who want that speed with maximum response. What actually limits your speed
Wing size. The front wing is the biggest single factor. A large wing lifts early and rides calmly but tops out sooner; a smaller wing needs more speed to fly and keeps accelerating past the big wing's limit. Same board, different wing, very different top end.
Rider weight. A heavier rider needs more lift and more power at every stage, which trims the top end and shortens the session. Board choice matters more than motor here, as our weight limit guide explains.
Water and wind. Spec-sheet speeds come from flat water. Chop forces earlier touchdowns and makes high speed genuinely hard work.
Throttle and battery mode. The remote is a progressive throttle with gear settings, so you choose your ceiling ride by ride. Sustained full throttle also drains the battery fastest, which is covered in our guide to eFoil battery life and range.

How fast will you actually ride as a beginner?
Well below any of these numbers, and that is the good news. Learning happens at low speed: enough pace for the wing to lift, no more. The Flight Assist system on the Max Plus, Pro Plus and Master steadies the board through exactly that phase. Speed comes later, one comfortable step at a time, and the progressive throttle means the board never goes faster than you ask it to.

Riders who want the highest ceiling in the Waydoo range should look at the Pro Plus, which pairs 52 km/h with a board most intermediates can handle, or the Master for the same speed with a carbon build tuned for experienced riders.
