Four Flyer EVO configurations are on waydoo.tech: Lite, Pro Plus, Max Plus and Master. The names do not tell you which one to order. Three decisions do: how much board you need under you, whether you want Flight Assist while you learn, and which propulsion tier you want to start with. This guide walks through those three, in that order, and ends with a table you can read in one minute.
The Flyer EVO range at a glance
Every Flyer EVO is the same modular platform: a board, a mast with a propulsion unit, a front wing and tail, a Powerflight battery that slots into the board, and a hand remote. That matters because the decision you make today is not final. Boards, propulsion units, wings and batteries are all sold separately on the store, so a rider who starts on a Max Plus board and later wants a smaller one changes the board, not the whole eFoil. What differs between the four configurations is which board, which propulsion tier and which battery pack come in the box, and whether Flight Assist is fitted.
Decision one: how much board
Board volume is the single biggest factor in how quickly you get flying. More volume means more float at rest, an easier start and a more forgiving landing. Less volume means a lighter, more responsive board once you are up. The Max Plus board is the high-volume, stable option at 130 L. The Pro Plus board is the balanced choice for riders who will progress fast or already have board sports behind them. The Master board is a 75 L carbon build for riders who already fly and want the lightest, most direct feel.
Your own weight sets the floor. Before you choose a smaller board, read the eFoil weight limit guide: a heavier rider on a low-volume board spends the first sessions fighting the start instead of learning to fly.
Decision two: Flight Assist or not
Flight Assist is the control system that holds the board level once you are up, so the first sessions are about balance rather than pitch control. It is fitted on the Max Plus, the Pro Plus and the Master. The Lite does not have it. That is the real difference between the Lite and the rest of the range, and it is why the Lite suits a rider who is comfortable learning the old way, or who is buying a second eFoil for a household that already rides. Decision three: propulsion tier and battery
The Lite ships with the 1800 Wh Powerflight pack. The Max Plus, Pro Plus and Master ship with the 2300 Wh pack, which is the difference between the two runtime figures on the product pages. If you plan to ride long sessions, the second battery is the upgrade riders buy first; the second battery and charger guide explains which pack and charger pair with which configuration.
Propulsion comes in tiers. The Master ships with the performance unit. The EVO Elite propulsion unit is the top tier and is sold on its own, so it is an upgrade you can order later on any board rather than a configuration you have to commit to on day one. A rider who wants the Elite from the start orders the board configuration that fits and adds the unit.
Max Plus vs Pro Plus: the decision most buyers are making
These two share propulsion, battery and Flight Assist. The board is the difference. At the time of writing the Max Plus is listed at EUR 6,999 and the Pro Plus at EUR 7,033. If you are a first-time rider, or you will share the board with a partner or older children, the Max Plus is the one to order. If you have wing, kite or prone foiling behind you and want the board to feel responsive from the first week, the Pro Plus is the one. If you cannot decide, the Max Plus board and the Pro Plus board are both sold separately, so the choice is reversible later.

Which Flyer EVO fits you
Ordering your first eFoil and want the shortest path to flying: Max Plus. Coming from wing, kite or prone foiling: Pro Plus. Already flying an eFoil and buying the build you will keep: Master, and consider the Elite unit. Buying on price, or adding a second board to a household that already rides: Lite, knowing it has no Flight Assist.
