Ordering a Flyer EVO: Delivery, Unboxing and the First Ride

Ordering a Flyer EVO: Delivery, Unboxing and the First Ride

Everything about buying an eFoil online is normal until the moment you press the button. Then it becomes a large box, a heavy lithium battery, a carrier who may or may not carry it up a flight of stairs, and a set of questions nobody publishes in one place. This is that one place, for a Flyer EVO ordered in Europe.

From payment to dispatch

Orders are typically processed within one to three business days after payment is confirmed. Orders are not processed at weekends or on public holidays, and processing runs longer during launches, holiday periods, high volume sales periods and restocking. Once the order ships you get a tracking number by email, and tracking can take 24 to 72 hours to start updating after it leaves the warehouse. A quiet tracking link on day one is normal.

Stock sits in Europe, which is the part that matters for a European buyer. A Flyer EVO Max Plus ordered in the Netherlands or Belgium is not an import and does not arrive with a customs bill attached to it.

Delivery windows, and what they are not

Destination Estimated delivery after shipment
Europe 3 to 10 business days
United States 5 to 12 business days
Rest of world 7 to 21 business days

These are estimates and not guarantees, and they start at shipment rather than at checkout. waydoo.tech ships to the European Union and the United Kingdom, to the United States, and to selected international destinations. If a country is not selectable at checkout, that is the answer for now. Outside the EU, import duties, customs fees and local taxes are the buyer's responsibility, and they are set by the destination country rather than by us.

It is a lithium shipment, and that has consequences

The Powerflight battery is the reason an eFoil ships the way it does. Carriers, customs officials and airlines occasionally ask for paperwork on it. The UN38.3 transport test report and the material safety data sheet are both published on the downloads page, alongside the manual, so you can hand them over without waiting on an email reply.

Plan where the box goes before it arrives. A complete Flyer EVO is not a parcel you carry upstairs alone, and the same is true in reverse every time you take it to the water. A Travel Board Bag or the Flyer EVO Mover solves the second problem, and they are worth ordering with the board rather than after the first awkward trip.

The first thirty minutes after it arrives

Open it while the carrier's delivery is still fresh. If anything is damaged, you have 48 hours from delivery to contact us with your order number, a description and photographs of both the product and the packaging. Keep the packaging until that is settled, because a return without it is not a clean return.

Then check the contents against the packing list before charging anything. Our guide to what is included with a Flyer EVO lists what should be there per configuration. Charge the battery fully once before the first session and read the battery handling section of the manual, which is short and worth the five minutes.

Before the first ride

Two pages do most of the work here. The getting started page covers setup and the first session, and the safety guidelines cover the parts that are not optional. Pair the remote and set up the app before you get to the water, not on the beach, and check the local rules for where you are allowed to ride, because they vary by country and sometimes by lake.

Cover is up to two years and varies by component, with the terms set out on the warranty terms page. Register the board and keep the order number somewhere you can find it. If something needs attention later, a dealer from the dealer network is usually the faster route than shipping a board anywhere.

If it turns out to be the wrong board

There is a 30 day return window from receipt, requested from your account dashboard, and EU customers additionally have a statutory 14 day right of withdrawal from delivery with no reason required. The conditions are the ones you would expect: unused, original packaging, all accessories and manuals included, proof of purchase. Anything that has been in the water is not returnable unless it is defective. Return shipping is the customer's cost unless the item arrived damaged, is defective, or the wrong item shipped.

Which is the argument for narrowing the choice before ordering rather than after. If you are still between the Lite, the Pro Plus and the Jobe Epix Set, the range comparison is the place to do it, and a demo through a dealer is better still.
