Paying for a Flyer EVO: Klarna, Bank Transfer, Cards and Buying as a Business

Paying for a Flyer EVO: Klarna, Bank Transfer, Cards and Buying as a Business

A Flyer EVO is a considered purchase, and the question that stops most carts is not the product. It is how the payment works: which methods the checkout takes, when the money is taken, and what to do if the buyer is a company rather than a private rider. This guide answers those in the order you meet them at the checkout.

What the checkout offers

At the time of writing the waydoo.tech payment step shows Visa and Mastercard, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay, iDEAL and Bancontact, PayPal, and Klarna. Which of these appear for you depends on your country and your device: iDEAL is the Dutch bank-transfer method and Bancontact the Belgian one, so riders in the Netherlands and Belgium see those alongside the cards. Wallets appear when your phone or browser supports them.

You do not need an account to order, and the checkout runs in the language and currency of the store you are on. The store sells across Europe from EU stock, and the payment step is the same whether you order a Lite, a Pro Plus, a Master or a second battery. If a method you expected is missing, it is usually a country restriction on that method, not a problem with the order.

Klarna

Klarna is offered at the checkout for baskets up to 3,000 euros. That covers a spare battery, a board, a Subnado or accessories, but not a complete Flyer EVO or a FoilBoost kit, which are above that limit. Which Klarna products are available to you, and on what terms, is decided by Klarna for your country and is shown on the payment step before you confirm. Waydoo Europe does not set those terms and this guide does not quote them. For the eFoil itself, use a card, a wallet, iDEAL, Bancontact or PayPal, or contact the team for a business order.

When the money is taken and what happens next

Card, wallet, iDEAL, Bancontact and PayPal payments are taken when you place the order, and the order confirmation arrives by email straight after. Keep it: the order number on it is what the team asks for if you write in about delivery or a change. From there the order follows the path described in ordering, delivery and the first ride: confirmation, dispatch from EU stock, tracking, and what to check when the boxes arrive. If a return is ever needed, the refund goes back to the payment method you used, on the timing set out in the returns policy.

Buying as a business

Prices on waydoo.tech are shown with VAT included for private buyers. A club, a rental operation, a resort or a company buying a fleet usually needs an invoice in the company name, and a VAT-registered business in another EU country may need the order set up differently from a consumer checkout. For any of those, contact the Waydoo Europe team before you place the order. They will confirm how the invoice is issued, whether the order goes through the site or through a dealer, and how payment is arranged. It is faster than placing a consumer order and asking for it to be changed afterwards, and it means the invoice, the delivery address and the contact on the order are right from the start.

The same applies to a rider who wants to order through a local dealer rather than online. The demo and dealer guide explains how dealers work and what to ask; a dealer order is paid to the dealer, on the dealer's terms.

Before you pay: three things to settle

First, the configuration. If you are still choosing between the Max Plus and the Pro Plus, read which Flyer EVO to order first; the board is the decision, and both boards are also sold separately, so it is reversible later. Second, the extras. A second battery is the accessory most riders add within the first season, and it is cheaper to ship with the eFoil than on its own. Third, where you will ride. eFoil rules in Europe differ by country and by water, and it is worth knowing your local rules before the board arrives.

If you foil already and are looking at the FoilBoost instead of an eFoil, the checkout and the business route above are the same. The product is different; how you pay for it is not.
