The Flyer EVO is modular, so the battery is a part you can buy on its own. A second Powerflight pack turns one session into two without a second board, and it is a large purchase, so it is worth getting right. This guide covers which capacity to choose, which charger to pair it with, how to rotate two packs, and how to move them safely.
What your EVO already runs on
Every complete Flyer EVO ships with one Powerflight battery. The Flyer EVO Lite uses the 1800 Wh pack and is rated up to 100 minutes. The Max Plus, Pro Plus and Master use the 2300 Wh pack and are rated up to 120 minutes.
Those are rated figures. On the water, expect somewhere between 45 and 90 minutes or more, depending on your weight, how hard you ride, the conditions and the gear you select. Our guide to eFoil battery life and range goes through what drains a pack fastest.

1800 Wh or 2300 Wh: which second pack
The simple rule is to match the pack you already own. Two identical packs behave the same on the water and charge on the same charger, so you are never guessing which one you are riding or how long it has left.
Both capacities are sold as the Flyer EVO Powerflight Battery, listed for the Flyer EVO with IP68 waterproofing, leak detection and an interactive display. The difference is capacity and price.
If you ride a Lite and are thinking about the larger pack as your second one, ask the team to confirm it for your board before you order. The store lists both capacities for the Flyer EVO but does not publish a fit table by configuration, and a battery is not a part to buy on an assumption.
Which charger, and whether you need a second one
One charger can serve two packs if you are happy to charge them one after the other. A second charger makes sense when you want both packs full by the next morning, or when one pack lives at home and the other where you ride.
There are two chargers for the Powerflight battery:

Waydoo does not publish a charge time for either unit. If charge time is what decides it for you, ask us rather than working it out from the current rating. Running two packs through a day
A second pack changes the rhythm of the day. Ride the first pack, come ashore, swap, and go back out. The step to be careful with is the next one: putting the pack that just came off the board straight onto the charger.
A pack that is warm from riding will not charge straight away. The EVO shows "Charging paused, waiting for cooling" in that case, which is a normal state and not a fault. Let it come back to temperature in the shade, then charge it. Alternate which pack you start with, so the two share the work.
That matters because the Powerflight battery listing states its warranty as 24 months and less than 300 battery cycles. Two packs sharing the riding each collect cycles more slowly than one pack doing all of it. Across the EVO system, cover is up to two years and varies by component.
Moving and storing two batteries
Two large lithium packs in a car deserve more care than one. The Fireproof Battery Box (€604) is built around the Powerflight battery, with an aluminium body and an integrated 21 L water bag to help contain heat during transport or storage. A Flyer EVO Mover gets the board to the water without carrying it, which leaves you a separate trip for the batteries.
If a pack is ever swollen, unusually hot, smoking, leaking, has got wet, or has been dropped or damaged, stop using it and stop charging it. Move it away from anything flammable, do not test it, and file a claim marked urgent.
Batteries also ship under lithium rules. Some destinations restrict how they travel, so the shipping method can change, and if a carrier or customs office asks for paperwork, the UN38.3 test report and the MSDS are available from our team.
Who does not need a second pack
If your sessions end because you are tired rather than because the battery is, a second pack will mostly sit on a shelf. Spend the money on a way to move and protect what you already own instead, covered in our guide to which board, bag and Mover fit your EVO.
